Creating a Victoria for the future
13 November 2012
On Tuesday 16th October all eyes were on Victoria, as the area’s ongoing redevelopment was celebrated with a spectacular party on the roof terrace at Kingsway College, Castle Lane.
Guests toasted Victoria's new chapter with cocktails and canapés, and were treated to live music from the High on Heels Collective to get them in the party spirit. As London’s New Victorians made their way up to the roof terrace, transcending the staircase in the unique location of a former college, they enjoyed an exhibition of photography showcasing the very best of Victoria, past and present.
There were even special Victoria-branded taxis taking guests to and from the party, highlighting this part of the West End as the place to be to Londoners looking on all over the city.
There is currently 2.2 million sq ft of development in the pipeline and we will invest over £2 billion over the next decade to create a Victoria for the future. We will introduce spectacular residential buildings, the best in contemporary offices, and a new retail heart to Victoria as well as new public realms for visitors and occupiers to enjoy.
If you ever needed proof this new Victoria is already coming to life, Tuesday’s party was it!
