Aspire Service Partners sign up as partners to the Land Securities’ Employment Strategy

13 December 2013

We’ve been extending the reach of the Land Securities’ Employment Strategy this year into new sectors and it’s all thanks to the support of our service partners and Circle Sports. Circle Sports is a social enterprise with a not for profit retail store that aims to inspire young people to change their lives for the better. Land Securities has funded the delivery of two 10-week courses this year by Circle Sports engaging over 30 disadvantaged young people not in employment, education or training.

The driving force behind this successful programme has been Aspire, a group of representatives from our main London service partners brought together by Ian Burr, Head of Property Management for Land Securities’ London Portfolio. The aim of Aspire is to create a virtual team with a strong culture and customer service mindset, working together to bring Land Securities’ values to life every day. Working with Circle Sports has provided an opportunity to collaborate on a joint corporate responsibility approach.

The five Aspire service partners in addition to MITIE and Baxter Storey are supporting this initiative by giving career talks, organising site visits, work experience and importantly providing job opportunities within facilities management.
