Art on High in the City
22 July 2012
One New Change is offering aspiring artists the chance to take inspiration from the iconic City of London skyline next month, by teaming up with urban landscape artist Daniel Preece to host an art class on its stunning roof terrace with spectacular views of St Paul's Cathedral.
Preece, a former Artist in Residence at Kensington Palace, will take full advantage of the majestic dome of St Paul's Cathedral to share tips and techniques on using pencil and charcoal to capture London's historic cityscape in this exclusive class raising money for The Prince's Trust.
During the two-hour class, Daniel will provide an insight on sketching, such as how to perfect scale, shading and contouring. He will also provide a lesson on how to recreate mood and lighting of the same cityscape.
The cost of this unique art class is £20, payable on arrival, with all proceeds going to The Prince's Trust, One New Change's charity partner. If you're just starting out, don't worry - all art materials will be provided!
Places for the art class are limited to 20 people. To register, simply visit www.onenewchange.com to book your place.
Art on the Roof is the fourth event in the successful Sundays in the City series of unique activities taking place at One New Change this summer. Look out for more eye-catching experiences, including the ultimate charity walk, The Sunday Strut on 19 August, at www.onenewchange.com
