We are delighted to announce that 123 Victoria Street has won the title of Best Refurbished/Recycled workplace at the 2013 British Council for Offices (BCO) London and South East awards.
The BCO London and South East Awards celebrate and reward excellence in top-quality design and functionality in the office sector. 123 Victoria Street, which is across 12 floors and 227,200 sq ft, was recognised for its flexible modern office space and stylish interiors.
Richard Kauntze, Chief Executive of the BCO, commented that the winners, including 123 Victoria Street, are “prime examples of how top quality design and functionality in the work place is keeping London at the forefront of innovation in the urban landscape”. With its triple height atrium, breath taking views over London’s landmarks, striking reception area and carefully selected art installations, this is certainly true of 123 Victoria Street.
123 Victoria Street, which completed in 2012 and was designed by Aukett Fitzoy Robinson (AFR), revives the iconic modernism of the original 70s architecture while bringing the building firmly into the 21st Century. MoreySmith led the refurbishment of the public areas, introducing an understated luxury that creates a breath-taking first impression.
123 Victoria Street’s tenants include Jimmy Choo, whose relocation to Victoria in late 2012 symbolises the changing face of the area and builds on its status as an emerging hub for London’s fashion, technology and media industries. Jimmy Choo joins global brands like Tom Ford, Burberry, LVMH, Richemont and Microsoft, all of whom have taken up residence in Victoria in recent years.
